Runners Raising Funds This page lists our SSRC runners who are raising money for charity.
SUE MCNATT is captaining a team for American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Needham, Dedham and Wellesley on May 14-15. This is a non-competitive overnight walking event in which members take turns walking around a track at the Newman Elementary School in Needham. The event is from 3:00 PM on Saturday-9:00 AM on Sunday. If you are interested in joining Sue's team or supporting her for the Relay, please contact her at mcnattst@yahoo.com ALICE MURPHY is running the 2011 Boston Marathon in support of Technology for Autism Now, Inc.(TAN). TAN develops smartphone apps to help autistic children. Alice is running in honor of her niece Erin Murphy, age 16. Click here to support Alice. SUSIE VON ROSENVINGE is running the 2011 Boston Marathon for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She is running in memory of her friend Tom Frederico. Click here to support Susie. JULIE GARVEY is running the 2011 Boston Marathon for Children's Hospital of Boston. This is her eighth time running Boston. Click here to learn more about Julie's efforts and to support Julie's run. MARY WORTHINGTON (FORMERLY KACHADURIAN) is running the Boston Marathon with the Dana Farber Marathon Challenge Team. It is her 11th marathon and she is dedicating her run to 13 yr. old Sean McLaughlin, who passed away in January, 2002 from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She is also running in honor of her friend Deborah Bullerjahn who lost her battle to appendiceal cancer this past September.
